A New Chapter: Our Sustainable Eco Hut

The Gait Group is excited to announce the development of a premier Eco Hut in the Upper Hunter Valley. Set within a secluded 50 hectare rural estate, this off grid short stay accommodation will combine sustainable green energy with breathtaking elevated views to provide the ultimate peaceful escape. 

The Hut’s structure celebrates its origins with locally sourced hand hewn beams and visible joinery, designed to capture the authentic spirit of the Australian high country. It offers a ‘back to basics’ atmosphere that remains raw and evocative, complemented by interiors curated with a deep respect for the region's heritage. Authentic cowhide rugs ground the space, while walls are adorned with deer antlers and decor inspired by traditional hunting retreats.  A handcrafted fireplace made from a 44 gallon drum anchors the open plan living space. This bespoke piece serves as a functional work of art, reflecting the resourceful, ‘make do’ spirit of the Australian outback.
